The last update I did on my Portfolio was around 4 years ago, needless to say it was about time the site received an update.
This is yet another modification of WordPress’ default theme, with a lot of stuff added onto it. The header was probably what I spent the most time on, I wanted it to be flashy and be reflective of my ability. The header’s background is a 3D model I made after I learned how to use MODO, it’s running in ThreeJS which is possibly one of the best libraries I’ve ever worked with.
The logo animation is made using AnimeJS, a great JS library to animate SVG files. Despite the lack of documentation that complicates it a little bit when starting off, but it’s very powerful and I had a blast working with it.
The one thing I didn’t implement which I wanted to have is Ajax loading, unfortunately despite knowing how to make it work, WordPress doesn’t work quite the same as standard PHP. I’ll figure it out eventually, but it’s probably not going to be as easy as I would like it to be.
I’m very pleased with the final result however, the site has this look of nostalgia, which I’ve really come to enjoy lately.
